Premier LogiTech ("Premier") is looking for a Radio Communication Infrastructure Specialist to join our team!

Position Summary:

Provide key technical role in testing, troubleshooting and repair of Radio Communication Infrastructure equipment and modules to component level.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform required diagnostic and analytical tests to diagnose and repair wireless communication equipment such as paging infrastructure, GPS receivers, controllers and PA modules.

  • Setup testbed, tooling and equipment on production line to aid in troubleshooting and repair.

  • Abide and adhere to all safety protocols, specifically the vital safety protocols for the High Voltage Infrastructure Equipment and the INE Repair Line.

  • Troubleshoot failures to component level on various Radio Communications Infrastructure equipment from manufactures such as Glenayre and Motorola. 

  • Preform Preventive Maintenance on tooling, testers and fixtures based on need and scheduling.

  • Evaluate and assess testbed problems, define and implement solutions or corrective actions in a timely manner.

  • Provide technical training and cross training of designated personnel.

  • Create technical and maintenance reports, as required. Create, update, and/or review setup, troubleshooting, repair procedures and documentation on an ongoing basis.

  • Create and maintain current Work Instructions for Processes such as; Test Platform Set-up, Repair Scope, Software Updates and PM Parts Replacement.

  • Perform sustaining preventative maintenance and other engineering processes and projects as assigned by Supervisor.

  • Meet daily production repair goals and tasks set by Engineering and Operations Management

 

 

Skills and Specifications Required:

  • 1+ years relevant experience in Electronics/Communications field, preferably with RF Component level repair experience

  • Prefer working knowledge and understanding of two-way radio theory (RF) and communication system spanning multiple technology platforms.

·       Soldering experience is required, IP-610 Certification is a plus.

·       Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and electronic schematics.

  • Familiar with operating various test equipment including but not limited to, spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDR's, FDR's, and multi-meters.

  • Knowledge of analog, RF, digital, and microprocessor electronic circuits found in communications equipment at the component level.

·       Ability to communicate with all level of employees and OEM’s.      

·       Proficient using a computer and experience working with Microsoft Suite.

 

Physical Requirements, with or without accommodation:

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk and sit and bend

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Able to work in warehouse environment, not climate controlled at times
