Worth area. PREMIER’S growth and expansion of services has created the need for the position of a RF Repair Technician located in North Texas.

 

 

Job Summary

Provide key technical role in testing, troubleshooting and repair of Infrastructure communication equipment and modules to component level.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform required diagnostic and analytical tests to diagnose and repair wireless communication equipment such as paging infrastructure, GPS receivers, controllers and PA modules.

  •  Setup testbed, tooling and equipment on production line to aid in troubleshooting and repair.

  • Abide and adhere to all safety protocols as outlined in P-6.5-001 INE Repair Line Safety Procedures.

  • Troubleshoot failures to component level on various Glenayre and Motorola Radio Communications Infrastructure equipment.  

  • Preform Preventive Maintenance on tooling, testers and fixtures based on need and scheduling.

  • Evaluate and assess testbed problems, define and implement solutions or corrective actions in a timely manner.

  • Provide technical training and cross training of designated personnel.

  • Create technical and maintenance reports, as required. Create, update, and/or review setup, troubleshooting, repair procedures and documentation on an ongoing basis.

  • Meet daily production repair goals and tasks set by Engineering and OPS Management.

 

 

Qualifications

  • College degree in Electronics/Communications field or equivalent working experience.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with working knowledge and understanding of two-way radio theory (RF) and communication system spanning multiple technology platforms.

  • Soldering experience is required, IP-610 Certification is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and electronic schematics.

  • Proficiency in operating various test equipment including but not limited to, spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDR's, FDR's, and multi-meters.

  • Knowledge of analog, RF, digital, and microprocessor electronic circuits found in communications equipment at the component level.

  • Ability to communicate with all level of employees and OEM’s, read, write and speak English fluently.      

  • Computer literate and experience working with Microsoft Office products ie. Outlook, Excel and work.

  • RF Component level repair experience.

     Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

     Ability to sit, stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time

     Ability to work in a non climate controlled environment
