Premier’s growth and expansion of services has created the need for several new positions, including the position of WMS Administrator located in DFW Texas.

Position Summary:

Premier Logitech is looking for an IT resource to lead and own a WMS migration and administrate the technical supply chain systems infrastructure for multiple locations in the US.  This role will be responsible to work with a 3rd party to setup and configure our current WMS data system as well as customize business workflows according to the needs of the operation.

This Warehouse Management System Admin will play a critical role in the initial onboarding of this system for new customers and will be expected to lead and handle all ETL, Reporting, and customization as well as server as the main point of contact for the selected 3rd party.  

The rollout will start at one location of multiple install instances and near-perfected efforts will then be duplicated to the remaining locations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support and act as super user of WMS

  • Configure WMS for new accounts or new processes

  • Creating users and equipment

  • Work with users to maintain master tables (items, locations, equipment, printers, etc)

  • Oversee imports/exports for Non-EDI   (EDI knowledge is a plus) 

  • Hardware setup (RF guns, printers, etc)  software not hardware, basic troubleshooting

  • Work with project manager to communicate needs, status updates, and timelines during implementations

  • Interface with other departments to define, gather, and document processes and needs

  • Translate processes and needs into functional specifications for development/configuration

  • Develop test cases and plans to complete during testing

  • Work with WMS developers during software design and implementation

  • Learn business process and workflows

  • Develops training plan and work instructions

  • Assists in training of SME’s and key team members in utilizing the WMS

  • Oversees the management of security roles within WMS

  • Gain a deep understanding of applications and integrations

  • Create or modify reports within the system – crystal reports knowledge a plus

  • Setup and configure labels for printing using the WMS system

  • Installing patches and upgrades on test environment and then moving to live environment

  • Screen customization

  • New customer / project on-boarding

    • Initial table import (Master Data Import)

    • Interfaces

    • Required Exports – Reports

    • Location / Put away rule setup

    • Picking Rule

    • Shipping setup

    • Invoicing

 

Requirements:

  • BS preferably in field of Computer Science, Business, or engineering or applicable work experience

  • 3+ years of WMS Administration

  • Experience with a new software implementation project is a major plus

  • EDI/API knowledge is a plus

  • XML knowledge is a plus

  • Crystal Reports knowledge is a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Prefer some experience with other WMS systems e.g. :  Red Prairie, Manhattan Associates, High Jump, Infor

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Ability to walk and stand in production floor operations for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to periodically perform work in non-climate-controlled areas.
