Premier LogiTech ("Premier") is looking for a WMS Administrator to join our team!

Premier’s growth and expansion of services have created the need for several new positions, including the position of WMS Administrator located in DFW Texas.

Position Summary:

The role of the WMS Systems Administrator is to provide technical support for Premier’s warehouse management systems and third-party applications. The WMS Systems Administrator is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues, monitoring mission-critical systems, maintaining applications, operating software patching, and implementing new technologies in both hardware and software configurations. The WMS Systems Administrator will be required to work with business users, software developers, system administrators, and other IT technicians to ensure continuous service delivery demands that exceed customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  • Configuring and maintaining WMS systems.

  • Ensuring that data is stored securely and backed up regularly.

  • Replacing and upgrading defective and outdated components when necessary.

  • Identify fit/gap for business requirements against WMS system functionality by analyzing ‘As is’ and ‘To Be’ business processes.

  • Customer set-up requirements for new customers, including data capture requirements, on receipts, shipments, inventory control, and reporting set-up based on customer KPIs optimization and implementation of such.

  • Configuration of Warehouse Management area (WM processing, bins, locations, physical inventory count and cycle counting processes, RF-enabling processes, inventory reservation, transfer posting, stock transfer, valuation, batch management, etc.)

  • Managing users and access levels.

  • Manage and address data warehouse application issues.

  • Proactively investigate any WMS systems issues.

  • Provide technical support to rectify any systems issues and document resolutions

  • Work with system users to coordinate requirements, design, testing, and end-user documentation/training of system upgrades.

  • After any testing or troubleshooting of the software, ensure that the system is operating at full capacity.

  • Monitoring system performance to ensure 99.99% uptime.

  • Be the focal point for any systems issues.

  • Perform disaster recovery architecting, planning, implementation, and testing.

  • Keep up with new features and benefits.

  • Proactively look for WMS capabilities to implement for warehouse improvements and cost savings.

  • Apply continuous improvement in all aspects of the business.

  • Conduct support tasks independently as well as coordinate with others as needed.

  • Escalate issues with senior team members, vendors, and management to reduce impact.

  • Document and maintain support knowledge articles, administration checklists, and procedures.

  • Implement monitoring and automated alerting using various methods and tools.

  • Develop software to perform and automate system and application functions.

  • Work closely with the Application Development team to support the Software Development Life Cycle process.

  • Automate the software build, promotion, and deployment process.

  • Maintain and patch 3rd party applications; coordinate testing, implementing, and support with 3rd party vendors.

  • Must be a skilled communicator, director, and motivator -- the ability to fully listen and understand co-workers and leadership and address their needs appropriately.

  • Other duties assigned by supervision.

 

 

Skills and Specifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or Information Technology or related field experience

  • At least three years of WMS experience as a systems administrator or in a comparable role supporting a WMS.

  • Experience and knowledge of Mantis LVS, Camelot, and/or Microsoft Business Central.

  • Must possess a positive attitude and eagerness to work to complete assignments in a timely fashion and strive to always maintain the highest standards.

  • Excel at solution-seeking & problem-solving.

  • Prefer knowledge of EDI and XML.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Good communication and documentation skills.

  • SQL knowledge is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements, with or without accommodations:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Ability to walk and stand in production floor operations for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to periodically perform work in non-climate-controlled areas.
