Position Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for handling the day-to-day warehouse responsibilities. This position will also responsible for maintaining an efficient warehouse, developing and training assigned staff.
Responsibilities:

Oversee receiving, warehousing, order/kit pulling and distribution operations, including planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.

Manage stock control and reconcile with WMS (Warehouse Management System). Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders.

Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status. Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided. Report to management on activities and issues.

Supervise and lead a team of warehouse employees. Communicate job expectations and coach employees, provide training and development for warehouse team. Determine staffing levels and assign workload.

Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance. Develops and counsel employee performance as needed.

Support management with ensuring optimal operational policies and procedures

Partner with leadership in communication with customers, suppliers and vendors.

Recommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increase quantity.

Assist management with layout to ensure efficient space utilization.

Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.

Maintain standards of health, safety and security.
Skills and Specifications:
-
2+ yrs warehouse supervisory experience, preferably with production or distribution industry knowledge

PC skills including WMS (warehouse management system), solid knowledge of MS Word and Excel, and intermediate MS Office Suite.

Strong organizational skills.

Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement.

Must be results-driven, prefer demonstrated understanding of managing metrics.

2 year degree a plus.
