Premier LogiTech ("Premier") is looking for a Safety Manager to join our team!

Worth area. PREMIER’S growth and expansion of services has created the need for the position of Facilities Maintenance Technician located in North Texas.

 

Position Summary:

Responsible for promoting a positive safety culture while maintaining compliance with Premier Logitech’s safety and quality standards. This position is responsible for the implementation and coordination of the company’s safety program as directed by leadership, including facilitating trainings and coaching associates as necessary regarding work habits.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, maintenance and implementation of safety programs, compliance plans, and initiatives for all company locations.

  • Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses, and property damage incidents. Review safety issues and incidents with plant leadership and employees to develop plans for resolution. Ensure follow-up is done to minimize future exposure and proper records/documents are maintained.

  • Work with other department leaders to cultivate a welcoming and team-focused environment

  • Communicate effectively with Associates and all levels of management

  • Create and implement workplace safety plans and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies including OSHA, EPA.

  • Evaluate safety practices and procedures for risk assessment

  • Conduct accident prevention training and safety training

  • Inspect all vehicles and equipment to ensure operational safety

  • Analyze accident reports and evaluate injuries based on available facts

  • Identify and celebrate operational successes; develop and implement strategies to capitalize on opportunities address areas of improvement, and execute accordingly

  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security

  • Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and safety policies, procedures and practices.

  • Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that impact the organization.

  • Participate in creating a strong safety culture on the production floor and in the office area in all buildings.

  • Schedule and/or conduct site Safety compliance inspections, perform records documentation and provide corrective action response recommendations and tracking.

  • Support and participate in Safety Committee meetings through meeting attendance, inspection team leadership, findings documentation and corrective measures development and closure tracking.

  • Participate in emergency response functions such as material release first responders and First Aid teams.

  • Develop and implement emergency evacuation plans and procedures and conduct drills

  • Oversight of the Worker’s Compensation program.

 

Skills and Specifications Required:

  • HS diploma or equivalent required

  • Bachelor’s in occupational health and safety or related field preferred

  • 3-5 years experience in a safety related role.

  • Experienced in OSHA and EPA safety standards

  • Knowledgeable in worker’s compensation regulations

  • Ability to integrate changing processes and procedures, managing time and resources effectively

  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

  • Strong leadership skills, flexible and innovative with a collaborative style

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • 5S knowledge a plus

 

Physical Requirements, with or without accommodation:

 

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift 10-30 lbs

  • Ability to work in a non climate controlled environment
