Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for handling the day-to-day inventory responsibilities across selected facilities to provide support to Production and Warehouse Operations. This position is responsible for maintaining records of quantity and value for the material stocked in the Production Area and/or Warehouse. The Inventory Control Supervisor will be a motivational leader for the Inventory Control Team.
Responsibilities:

Train and develop efficient and engaged Inventory Control team members.

Make note and report damaged, lost, and stolen goods and determine root cause of the issue including solution alternatives. Report findings to Inventory Control Manager and Operations management.

Manage cycle counts and full facility physical inventories. Reconcile discrepancies including providing analytics and identification of systemic or process related inventory accuracy issues.

Supervise Cycle Counters and audit work for accuracy to provide feedback on performance and periodic performance appraisals.

Produce Inventory Reports based on both internal Premier needs as well as Client requirements.

Track historical trends and discrepancies and perform root cause analysis providing issue identification and solution alternatives for review by the Inventory Control Manager and the Production and Operations management team.

Manage product inventory accuracy including serial number and lot tracking. Attention to detail regarding this facet of inventory accountability/accuracy is critical to the operation. When serial number or lot number discrepancies arise, perform research to determine root cause, resolve the immediate issue, and recommend preventive measures.

Write and/or contribute to written work instructions and job aids needed by Production, Operations, and Cycle Counters to ensure accurate inventory balance.

Train Cycle Counters and assist in Production and Operations Training of inventory related work instructions to ensure inventory accuracy.

Working with Quality team, track and maintain Employee Training Records for audit purpose.

Adopt a pro-active rather than a reactive approach to resolving inventory accuracy issues in an effort to minimize adverse consequences.

Identify and report obsolete materials in Production Areas and Warehouse.

Thorough and clear communication with team members.

Follow all relevant safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions.
Skills and Specifications:

5+ years’ experience working in Inventory Control, posting Cycle Counts, and conducting Physical Inventory Counts.

4-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Knowledge and understanding of inventory programs and software.

Knowledge of Inventory Control and Cycle Counting processes and systems.

Experience with managing serial numbers and lot numbers including research and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.

Experience in Warehouse Management Systems.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to effectively manage time to meet set targets and deadlines.

Forklift experience a plus.

Self-motivated.

Good mathematical and analytical skills to accurately calculate merchandise counts and reconcile both location and quantity discrepancies.

Ability to be proactive in diagnosing and troubleshooting inventory problems.

Ability to work off-shifts and weekends on an as-needed basis.
