Position Summary:

The following job description is a general outline of essential and common functions related to the performance of your job.  All employees of Product Support Services, Inc. are expected as a condition of employment to perform tasks as assigned by management whether included in your job description or not.

Position has responsibility for coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and PSSI standards; ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants. Responsible and accountable to ensure that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants, and that the requirements of the customer are being satisfied. Must have sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.

  • Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.

  • Requires extensive regular contact with Operations Department.

  • Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.

  • Budget monitoring and trend tracking.

  • Participating in customer/contractor meetings and resolving customer/engineering project issues

 

 

Skills and Specifications Required:

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, and/or over ten years of experience with advance knowledge, through a combination of experience and continuing education; or

  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.

  • Advanced computer skills, repair / diagnosis, operation.

  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

  • Background screening includes previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.

  • Microsoft Software Suite;Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio, Infopath and Publisher

  • RF Test Software; Wireless Test Manager (or similar)

 

 

Physical Requirements, with or without accommodation:

 

  • Some heavy lifting, up to 25 pounds

  • Some stooping, bending, knelling and crawling

  • Sitting at a desk, viewing and/or creating documents

  • Typing, mouse movement, use of measurement equipment

  • Climate controlled warehouse environment, mid to high background noise

 

 Personal Protective Equipment Required

  • ESD items need to be worn in ESD protected areas.
