Premier Logitech ("Premier") is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team!

Position Summary:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the product delivered meets and exceeds customer standards.  This position will analyze information for quality improvement and develop, document, implement and measure quality control procedures.  The Quality Engineer will continually access opportunities for improvement and develop improved efficient procedures.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes and documents.

  • Responsible to perform process, quality, and document assessments as per client instructions for verification of FAI requirements as directed by Quality Manager.  

  • Devise and review specifications for products or processes.

  • Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements.

  • Determine product thresholds for approval and rejection of materials. Develop training and monitor performance and results to ensure the thresholds are being followed.

  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical and root-cause analysis.

  • Report on quality audit findings and recommend steps for improvement.

  • Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance.

  • Conduct internal audits to validate current quality processes according to quality manual.

  • Measure, report and provide feedback on the effectiveness of the quality performance. Coach and counsel to improve performance as needed.    

  • Oversee operational procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.

  • Coordinate with other departments to improve processes to result in higher quality standards to meet all of customer requirements.

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.

 

 

Skills and Specifications:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in quality assurance.

  • Proven experience developing, documenting and improving quality processes.

  • Conscientious and responsible, with a keen eye for detail and a results driven approach.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough and timely FAI reviews to closure.

  • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards

  • Knowledgeable in Lean Six Sigma and 5S

  • Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000, SOC, etc.).

  • Outstanding communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 4 yr. degree preferred.

  • Successfully pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
