Premier LogiTech ("Premier") is looking for a Production Manager to join our team!

Worth area. PREMIER’S growth and expansion of services have created the need for the position of Production Manager.

 

Position Summary:

The Production Manager will oversee day to day production operations of their assigned areas as well as implementing new customers or projects, continuous improvements and successfully achieving productivity metrics established for their assigned areas. This position is responsible for handling the day-to-day production for technology projects and works closely with Project Management and Operations teams to ensure client production and quality commitments are met.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Help design and set up production lines, setting and evaluating processes, goals and KPIs for different production lines.

  • Ensure proper staffing levels, coordinate training and cross-training of designated staff, evaluating and adjusting to ensure customer needs are met

  • Working with technology project PM’s in planning of headcount and system requirements for each project. Serve as point of contact for project staff.

  • Manage stock control and reconcile with WMS. Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders.

  • Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status. Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided. Report to management on activities and issues

  • Supervise and lead a team of production and technology associates. Communicate job expectations and coach employees, provide training and development for team. Develops and counsel employee performance as needed.

  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures

  • Interface with Project Mangers to answer questions or solve problems

  • Control budget of special projects and reclamation group and partner with finance department

  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative improvements or adjust existing work procedures and practices.

  • Confer and coordinate activities with other department managers to optimize processes. Recommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increase quantity.

  • Setup layout for each project and ensure efficient space utilization

  • Maintain standards of health, safety and security

Skills and Specifications:

  • 4+ yrs production experience, preferably for a rapid growth operation.

  • Must have demonstrated 2+ yrs of experience managing and developing team members.

  • PC skills including expert user of WMS (warehouse management system), strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel, and intermediate MS Office Suite.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated experience identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Must be results-driven and have demonstrated understanding of developing and managing metrics.

  • 4 year degree a plus

Physical Requirements, with or without accommodation:

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work in non climate controlled environment
