The Logistics Trainer will work with the Operations team to provide on- the- job training to new hires and tenured employees in various operational areas of the warehouse. The trainer is responsible for identifying the training needs of each warehouse associate that they are assigned and ensure that appropriate programs and training methods are created and implemented to meet these needs. The Trainer will work on warehouse floor in assigned function when not providing training



  • Provides training for individual or group settings to new hire as well as tenured employees 

  • Provide training on all aspects of the warehouse positions (i.e., order selectors, loader, auditors, etc.). 

  • Coach and inspire employees to not only meet but exceed required production goals. 

  • Recommend changes in training procedures and documentation. 

  • Coordinates trainings and re-certifications, ensuring training is designed, delivered, and evaluated for consistency. 

  • Observe employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled. 

  • Assist employees through-out the day with work procedure/process related questions and needs.

  • Determine that trainees are aware of accuracy procedures and conformity at each stage of the training. 

  • Exhibit and practice positive communications and team building skills with trainees to ensure a consistently professional environment. 

  • Recognize malfunctions in equipment and notify management. 

  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities. 

  • Maintain a training log with trainees and hold updates as needed.

  • Functions as a warehouse team member within the department and as required, perform other duties as assigned. 


Skills and Specifications Required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Two (2) years distribution/warehouse related industry experience. 

  • Ability to read, write and speak English and verbally convey procedures in a manner trainee can understand and follow.

  • Electric Pallet Jack experience preferred

  • Familiar with RF Devices and WMS transactions. 

  • Understand standardized math processes. 

  • Work with minimal supervision; under pressure and on several tasks at the same time. 


Physical Requirements, with or without accommodation:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. 

  • Ability to work in non climate-controlled warehouse environment, with noise at moderate level not damaging or loud enough to require protective equipment and exposure to dust and changes in lighting.
